The Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy in Overland Park, KS, a K-12 Jewish Community Day School seeks a strong and passionate Orthodox Jewish studies educator with Hebrew language fluency to teach in the Matmidim program. This is a unique Orthodox program within a community day school context. A successful candidate will be a self-starter, well-organized, a team player, and able to prepare engaging, content-filled lessons that imbue a love of Hebrew and Judaism in the students and build their skills as independent learners.
Job responsibilities to include: -Teaching in the Matmidim program, an innovative Jewish Studies track for the Orthodox community -Teaching TaL AM curriculum, Ivrit B'Ivrit, and possibly the Lehavin U'Lehaskil Chumash curriculum in lower elementary school. -Leading tefillah for one or more classes -Attending school meetings -Functioning as a role model to students and an ambassador to the general school and community for the Matmidim program.
