Full time Judaic Studies and General Studies teachers for the elementary level
for the 2011-2012 academic year.
The ideal candidates should be teachers who are able to differentiate instruction
to meet the needs of all learners. The teachers should be able to create and
maintain a positive climate by creating meaningful and interesting learning
experiences for children. The candidates should value on-going professional
growth and development.
The Judaic Studies candidates will have a strong command of the Hebrew language
and must be able to teach Ivrit b'Ivrit.

SECOND GRADE JUDAIC STUDIES: This position will be available in early
November 2011 through the end of the 2011-2012 school year. We are
seeking a teacher who is interested in being a member of a vibrant
community in which teachers work together to reflect on their practice.
SSDS provides an outstanding education in both General and Judaic
Studies and is committed to the professional development of our
teachers.
Applicants should be fluent in Hebrew, knowledgeable about Torah
and Jewish observance, have lead teaching experience and a minimum of a
bachelor’s degree in education.
KINDERGARTEN HEBREW LANGUAGE TEACHER
Part-time position involves teaching Ivrit b’Ivrit curriculum to
four kindergarten sections. Work with a veteran kindergarten faculty,
with the support of Hebrew language coaches and consultants. Excellent
opportunity for professional development in teaching a second language.
Requirements:
•Fluent, native Hebrew speaker
•Professionally trained teacher with experience teaching
kindergarten or first grade
